Planning
Permitted DevelopmentĀ
A useful link to the governments planning portal can be found below for further information on whether or not you will need planning permission for your project.
Building Regulations
Building regulations outlines the specification to which your building project should be constructed to. Your project manager and builder will use these building regulation plans almost like instructions for the construction of your new extension or new home.
You can generally jump straight to having building regulation plans drawn up if you have permitted development rights on your property. If you do not have permitted development rights you will need to apply for planning consent before building regulations are required.
Building Inspections
A building inspector will carry out checks at certain phases of the build. These checks are to help ensure your builder is building your project to the standard of current building regulations. Once your project is complete your building inspector will complete a final check and provide you with completion certificate.
